Anke de Jong, Program Committee Anke de Jong (Program Committee Member) studied industrial design at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. After 3 years at Philips Design she spent the rest of her stay in Holland consulting for large Dutch companies, writing articles for Industrial Design & Items magazine and teaching workshops and classes at both the Delft ID program as well as the then brand new interaction design program at the Hilversum School of the Arts. In 1994 adventure called, and she made the jump over the ocean to become part of Apple Computer's design team. Anke has been running Ruby Slippers design consulting for the past 7 years. Her client list includes all the big name technology companies in the Bay Area (a fact of which she's very proud) and some fun small ones as well. Currently she's getting her feet wet introducing a new product line for the home, since she's fed up with the poor design quality of the stuff she can find in the stores in the US.
